Default NEW BRAKES FOR 1937 Maple Leaf

I have just removed all Wheel Cylinders, Master, shoes etc from a 37 Maple Leaf.

It is a 2 Tonner or therabouts (12500 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight).

Although it is /was my intention to restore to original, it is going to be used frequently , so a Brake upgrade has come to mind.

Is there an upgrade available thru Jim?

This was an Australian assembled (Holden) Maple Leaf, I have not yet measured the diameter of cylinders due to the state they are in.

    Any help appreciated.

I don't know of a brake upgrade on your 1-1/2 ton. I would make the most of the items that are available such as a Hydrovac Brake Booster and high-efficiency Type FF brake linings on the front. We can realign your shoes if needed. And, I can get you the name of a person with a 1939 1-1/2 ton that pulls his race car all over the East Coast of US.
